THIS YEAR: A key newcomer, senior Josh Reisman figures to crack the starting line-up at the point … A quick player with good ball-handling skills and court vision … Is a good 3-point shooter but drives the basketball quite well … Can break down defenses off the dribble … Better than average defensive player … Could push for postseason honors.

BYU: As a 2005 junior, played in 1 game at BYU, making his only shot in 5 minutes of play in a victory over NCAA Division II Chaminade … Signed with the Cougars out of junior college.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Averaged 14.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists during his 2004 sophomore season at San Jose City College, where he played for head coach Percy Carr and played with current Cougar Tristan King … Played most of the season with an injured hand … Shot 43% from the floor which included a 33% clip from the arc … Named All-Coast South League first team for the 21-9 Jaguars … Had a single-game high of 27 points.

GONZAGA: Signed with NCAA Division I power Gonzaga out of high school, redshirting the 2002 season … As a 2003 freshman, appeared in 30 games for the 24-9 Zags, all off the bench, averaging 3.2 points in 10 minutes a game … Played briefly in 1 of Gonazaga’s 2 NCAA Tourney games … Averaged 3.3 points in 14 West Coast Conference games … Twice scored a season-high 12 points (vs. Long Beach State and Portland State) … Other single-game highs included 4 rebounds (vs. Long Beach State) and 3 assists (vs. Portland State).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of varsity basketball for head coach Mac Fraser at Mount Vernon (Wash.) High … Led the Bulldogs to a 2-year combined record of 51-3, which included back-to-back appearances in the state championship game … As a 2001 senior, led the Bulldogs to an undefeated (27-0) and state 3A championship … Named 3A Player-of-the-Year, all-state second team and Skagit Valley Herald Player of the Year after averaging 15 points and 4 assists … As a junior, averaged 10 points, 5 assists and 2 steals.
