THIS YEAR: Redshirt freshman returns to the court after a two-year absence . . . Has the greatest desire on the team to succeed and will draw from that as he tries to bounce back from a 2000 season ending injury . . . Good leaper who can score in the frontcourt . . . 1999: Redshirtted the 1999 season while attending Azusa Pacific and working out with the team.
MONTCLAIR PREP: Was rated the fifth best power forward in the state by Student Sports Magazine . . . Earned 1 varsity letter in basketball at Montclair Prep High in Van Nuys, Calif., playing for Howard Abrams . . . Led the Mounties to the CIF semifinals . . . Selected All-CIF first team . . . Had a career high of 26 points . . . Grabbed a career high 15 rebounds. . . Averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds . . . As a 1997 junior, played at Atlantic Shores High in Chesapeake, Virginia for former Cougar Mark Borgeson . . . Was selected team's most improved, while averaging 11 points and 6 rebounds.
