Biography
2021-22: Named Academic All-PacWest… Appeared in 14 games for the Cougars in his senior season… Was 3-for-6 in free throws made… Tallied a season-high nine points, knocking down two three-pointers in a victory over Hawaii Pacific.
2020-21 (COVID-abbreviated season): Played in 10 games for the Cougars…Shot 4-for-15 from the field and collected one shot from beyond-the-arc...Was 2-for-3 in free throw attempts and posted a total of 19 rebounds... In the Cougars home victory against Fresno Pacific, collected a season-high eight rebounds, with two assists, two blocks and one steal.
SADDLEBACK COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Spent two seasons with the Gauchos... Played in 53 games and started 27 contests this past season as a sophomore... averaged 4.6 points on 51% shooting from the floor, while also grabbing 3.6 rebounds per game. On two different occasions this past year, Waikle hit game-winners for the Gauchos.
WESTERN NEBRASKA COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Spent one season at WNCC as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Waikle was a two-sport star for San Clemente High, excelling in both hoops and volleyball... Was named Orange County Athlete of the Week for both sports... Following his senior seasons in each sport, he was named First-Team All-League in basketball and Second-Team All-League in volleyball... On the basketball court, he led the South Coast League in scoring and blocked shots, while San Clemente won back-to-back league championships in his junior and senior seasons... Waikle led the Tritons to a 21-7 record in his senior year, which is the best record in the school's history.
