2014-15 (redshirt): Practiced with the team while attending classes at Azusa Pacific.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons at prep basketball power Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, helping lead the Monarchs to the 2012 CIF Division II state championship and 2013 CIF open division state runner-up as a 2013 junior ... At one point in 2013, Archbishop Mitty was ranked No. 19 nationally by MaxPreps.com ... Helped lead Monarchs to four consecutive WCAL championships, three consecutive CIF NorCal titles (2011-13), and back-to-back state titles (2011-12).
PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif., to Ross (insurance agent) and Shari Peterson ... Has three brothers (Leyton, Trevor, Karl) and one sister (Hannah) ... His father played basketball at Biola University, and his older brother Trevor is a senior at PacWest rival Point Loma ... Majoring in psychology ...
