Jim Hayford enters his second season as an assistant coach in the Cougar men’s basketball program. He will serve as the head coach for the junior varsity program and will also assist with the varsity team.
Hayford received his undergraduate degree from Azusa Pacific in 1990 and recently completed work on a masters degree in education at Claremont Graduate School. During his years at APU, Hayford played soccer for the Cougars.
Hayford coached high school basketball in Northern California prior to returning to the Southland to pursue his masters degree
Hayford teaches at Wild Rose School in Monrovia. He and his wife, Robin, live in Azusa.
