Ethan Hamilton is the newest addition to the Cougar coaching staff, coming to Azusa Pacific from GSAC member Point Loma Nazarene, where he served 3 years as a student assistant.
Hamilton prepped at Hesperia (Calif.) Christian High. He was a 4-year varsity member and as a 1993 senior, was named All-Christian League. He went to Point Loma Nazarene, but redshirted his freshman season. He then gave up basketball to pursue his dream of coaching, and joined the staff of former Crusader coach Dan Davis.
With Azusa Pacific, Hamilton’s duties include scouting, individual work with guards, recruiting, study hall and weight lifting. Aside from his coaching duties, Hamilton also runs his own basketball camp, DCB Hoops Camp, a Reebok-sponsored camp in his hometown.
A 1997 physical education graduate of Point Loma Nazarene, Hamilton is currently finishing his master’s degree in physical education at CS San Bernardino.
Hamilton is the son of Jack and Linda Hamilton. His brother Jared (19) and sister Phoebe (21) both attend The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, Calif.
Ethan, 23, is single and resides in Glendora.
