Don Lawrence

Don Lawrence begins his fifth year as a chief assistant under Hamlow.  He graduated from Kings College (N.Y.) in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in physical education.  He received a master's degree in science in 1970 from East Stroudsburg State College.

Lawrence coached basketball at Nyack College in New York for six seasons before joining the Cougar staff.  He also served as head coach for the soccer, cross country and baseball teams for two years.  His 1968 soccer team won the North Atlantic Christian College championship.  The 1970-71 his cross count teams won back-to-back NACC and Central Athletic College Conference titles.  Three of his basketball teams won NACC championships and the baseball team added a title to the parade in 1969.
