After a highly successful basketball career at Azusa Pacific, Chuck Boswell joined the Cougar athletic staff in 1969 as an assistant to Hamlow and varsity tennis coach.
During his four-year career, the slender lefthander scored 2,090 points, leading the team in scoring in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. His career and season scoring marks head up until last year when Dennis Dickens establish new ones. However, Boswell's career free throw and rebounds records still stand and 644 and 1,373, respectively.
Boswell was an NAIA All-America honorable mention selection in his senior year. He received his bachelor's degree in social science at Azusa Pacific cin June of 1969 and is continuing graduate work at Pasadena College in the field of counseling and guidance.
