A member of the Cougar Hall of Fame, Art Jenkins is in his second year on the athletic staff as an assistant to Hamlow.

Jenkins, who played just two seasons under Hamlow (1964-66), was known for his slick guard play and totaled 359 assists, second best in Cougar history.  He also managed 872 points in 51 games for a 17.1 average.  He was captain and MVP two years, made tournament teams at Azusa and Pasadena, and was an honorable mention pick on the NAIA All-District 3 team for 1965-66.

A 1959 graduate of Monrovia High, Jenkins played four years of basketball with a 10-point average.  He attended Citrus JC one semester and was a starting guard and team captain.  He played the following season at Northern Arizona University, averaging 13 points a game.  He then finished at Azusa Pacific, graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  He later received his teaching credential.

Currently he is working for his master's degree and hopes to work with the educationally and emotionally handicapped.
