THIS YEAR:  One of several seniors who are now in their second year in the program, a more experienced Brian Torres is expected to have a greater impact on the Cougars' fortunes this year ... Offers quality game experience and gives the Cougars terrific depth.

2023: Saw action in 13 games with 2 starts in his initial season with the Cougars … Recorded 407 minutes of play … Registered an  assist on Mario Shuteriqi's goal in Azusa Pacific’s 3-0 victory over Academy of Art.

JUNIOR COLLEGE:  Returned to college play after a 2-year layoff and spent his 2022 sophomore season playing at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Calif., where he started 20 of 21 games played for the Roadrunners, scoring 2 goals and assisting on 10 others ... COD posted a 7-7-7 record but and advance to the 2022 CCCAA Southern Region playoffs, falling to Palomar (3-1) in the first round.

CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS:  Out of high school, signed with NCAA Division II member Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he spent his 2019 freshman season ... Played sparingly, appearing in just 4 games and collecting 82 minutes of play ... Did play 44 minutes against conference rival Cal Poly Pomona ... Did not attempt a shot the entire season.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played 3 seasons of varsity soccer for Head Coach Adrian Barragan at Coachella High, from where he graduated in 2019 ... Participated in 3 straight CIF playoff teams ... During his senior year, helped lead the Mighty Arabs to a 12-9-3 record and the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs.

PERSONAL:  Birthday is Aug. 3 ... Is a sociology major.
