2017 (sophomore): Put together one of the finest offensive campaigns ever by a Cougar, being named first team to three different All-America teams: Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, and DII Conference Commissioners Association … Was Division II's second-leading receiver with 1,458 yards and 15 touchdowns on 86 catches … Started all 11 games and recorded at least 9 catches and 160 receiving yards seven times while catching a TD pass in 10 games … Best outing came in the second game of the season when he tallied 13 grabs for 190 yards and a TD (5 yards) … In the season-finale vs. Colorado Mesa, had 10 receptions for a career-high 203 yards and three TDs (17, 87, 9 yards) … Averaged 17.0 yards a catch … In 2 games vs. Humboldt State, had 22 receptions for 358 yards and two TDs.
2016 (freshman): As a 2016 redshirt freshman, appeared in all 12 games, starting 11 for the NCAA playoff Cougars … Led the team with 48 catches for 903 yards (18.8 avg.) and a team-high nine TDs … Breakout game came against nationally-ranked Colorado Mines when he tallied 6 catches for 177 yards and a TD (an 85-yarder that put the Cougars up 23-20 at the time) … Three weeks later put together a season-best game with nine receptions for 189 yards and a career-high four TDs (12, 27, 23, 45 yards) in a 44-7 GNAC-title clinching victory over Central Washington (named GNAC player of the week for that effort) … Both receptions in the opening round NCAA DII playoff game at Sioux Falls went for TDs (15, 53 yards).
2015: Redshirted his first year at Azusa Pacific, attending classes while practicing with the team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year, two-way standout at Benicia (Calif.) High … As a 2014 senior, led the Panthers with 45 receptions for 861 yards (19.1 avg.) and nine TDs … Helped guide Benicia to a 7-5 record and the second round of the CIF playoffs … Named All-Solano County Athletic Conference first team and team MVP … Best showing came in a 45-27 win over El Dorado in which he registered season-highs of seven receptions, 177 receiving yards, and two touchdowns … Also tried his hand at rushing during mid-season and tallied 80 yards on 13 carries (6.2 avg.) in three games … As a 2013 junior had 15 catches for 279 yards (18.6 avg.) with a TD for the 7-4 Panthers … Best effort was 5 grabs for 76 yards and a TD in a loss to Vanden … Also ran track at Benicia.
PERSONAL: Born Aug. 14, 1997 to Janine and Evan Carr … Majoring in sociology … Older brother, Austin, who was a QB a Benicia High, was a four-year wide-out and former walk-on at Northwestern, where 2016 he led the Big Ten in receptions, yards, and TDs and thus earned All-Big Ten first team recognition.
