2017 (freshman): Appeared in four games as a 2017 redshirt freshman, primarily as a reserve, completing 27-of-41 (.686) passes for 469 yards and six TDs with one interception … Made his first collegiate start at Western Oregon (Nov. 4), filling in for injured all-conference QB Andrew Elfers and gave a glimpse of the future with an impressive showing … Completed 19-of-29 passes for 325 yards and four TDs (58, 22, 30, 26) to lead the Cougars to a 41-13 road victory … Came off the bench in the Cougars’ record-setting 83-7 victory over Simon Fraser to complete four-of-four passes for 133 yards, including a 78-yard TD strike to Brensten Lindsey … For the season rushed for 52 yards on 19 carries.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-sport standout at Merced (Calif.) High ... Played two years of varsity football at quarterback for head coach Rob Scheidt ... As a 2014 senior, led the Bears to a repeat Central California Conference title and was named conference offensive MVP after completing 152-of-276 passes for 2,421 yards and 31 touchdowns with 15 interceptions ... Ran for 339 yards and five touchdowns while leading the Bears to a 9-3 record and second round of the CIF playoffs ... In the season-opener against Clovis West, threw for 418 yards and a touchdown... Against Tokay, completed 22 passes for 381 and four touchdowns, while running for 49 yards and a touchdown... Threw for five touchdowns each against Monterey Trail and Pitman... Was named to the Merced Sun-Star all-area team as a senior after leading an offense that averaged 44 points a game ... Took over as starting quarterback as a 2013 junior...
