HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-way standout at Santa Fe Christian High in Solana Beach, Calif., where he was coached by Brian Sipe, former NFL quarterback ... Named All-Coastal League 3 consecutive years, including league offensive player of the year as a 2005 senior ... Also named All-CIF second team in 2005 when he was he had 51 tackles (33 solo) for the 10-3 Eagles ... As a running back, rushed for a team-leading 912 yards on 72 carries (12.7 avg.) and scored 9 TDs ... Best offensive game came in a 34-33 victory over El Cajon Valley, rushing for 164 yards on 13 carries with 2 receptions, including a game-winning 8-yard TD catch ...
