2015 (junior): Saw action around the goal line and in short yardage situations for the Cougars...season high 10 carries for 67 yards and two touchdowns...also scored against Western Oregon...totaled 34 carries for 174 yards 

High School: Was a two-sport athlete at Milpitas High School, playing football for four years and tennis for one year... In football, played running back and was coached by Kelly King... Lettered as a freshman and got his first in-game experience as a sophomore... Took 15 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore... As a junior, became the primary ball carrier with 87 runs for 520 yards and two touchdowns... As a senior, carried the ball 86 times for 587 yards and five touchdowns.

Personal: Born on March 28, 1994 in Milpitas, Calif. to Sam and Doreen Fanua... Has two siblings, Melelopa and Steven... Steven played football for two years at Azusa Pacific and finished his eligibility following the 2014 season... That season, Steven led the team in tackles with 93... Is majoring in applied exercise science and wants to work in physical therapy after graduating from Azusa Pacific... Was named to the dean's list at College of San Mateo and earned the scholar athlete award at Foothill College... Enjoys playing volleyball.
