THIS YEAR: A healthy senior Ryan Allen is a strong and physical receiver who has good catch-and-run skills … Has caught at least 1 pass in all 18 games he has played at Azusa Pacific and needs 11 more to move into the program's all-time top 10 receivers … Well-respected by his teammates. 

2003: Sat out the 2003 season with a recurring injury originally suffered during spring drills and aggravated during fall 2-a-days … Underwent surgery and missed the entire season. 

2002: Was second on the team with 33 catches during his 2002 junior campaign … Averaged 13.1 yards a grab while tallying 3 TDs … Had at least 4 catches in 5 games … Best showing was at Chapman where he had a career-high 7 receptions for 99 yards and 2 TDs (20 and 4 yards) … Had 3 catches, including a 23-yard TD grab, for 41 yards in the season opener vs. San Diego and returned an on-side kick 45 yards for a TD with 20 seconds left to seal the victory … Had a season-best 40-yard reception with less than a minute left to set-up the game-tying TD and force OT vs. Pacific Lutheran. 

2001: Appeared in all 9 games as a sophomore, starting 6 … Finished second on the team with 31 receptions … Was third in receiving yards with (317) … Registered 1 TD, a 22-yard reception vs. Cal Lutheran… Tallied season-highs of 7 catches and 89 yards in the season finale at Chapman. 

AIR FORCE ACADEMY: Attended the Air Force Academy for 2 seasons, redshirting the 1999 campaign ... Did not get into a varsity game during his 2000 freshman season. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Spent 3 seasons at Capistrano Valley Christian High School in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., playing for head coach Keith Patefield … As a 1998 senior earned All-CIF second team recognition and was named Academy League MVP after rushing for 1,072 yards (118 carries) while collecting an additional 1,032 on 47 receptions … Scored 20 TDs … As a 1997 junior, rushed 576 yards and 7 TDs, caught 20 passes for 385 yards and 4 TDs and completed 10-of-17 passes for 171 yards and 2 TDs … Also lettered 3 years in varsity basketball (forward) and track & field. 

PERSONAL: Born July 25, 1980, in Chicago, Ill., to Steve (superintendent of Hillcrest Christian Schools) and Jan Allen (high school department chair) … Has 1 sister (Brianna) ... Graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in social science … Currently working on his master's degree in education
