Biography

THIS YEAR: Senior Pat Ferguson is one of the Cougars’ top returnees to the offensive front and should become a key player in this year’s scheme. 

2005: Put together a fine set of 2-a-day workouts in the summer to move up on the depth chart … During the season appeared in 7 of the Cougars’ 10 games, starting 5 of the final 7 games. 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons at state power Long Beach City … Earned All-Mission Conference first team at guard during his 2004 sophomore season when the Vikings went 7-5. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football at local power Los Alamitos (Calif.) High … Was a 2-time All-Sunset League first team pick … As a 2001 senior, named Long Beach Press Telegram All-Long Beach Dream Team and was named the Griffins’ offensive MVP … Los Alamitos won 2 league titles and went 27-10 during Ferguson’s 3 seasons. 

PERSONAL: Son of Pat (driver) and Diane (teacher) Ferguson … Has a sister (Jenny), who played soccer at Cal State Fullerton ... Would like to further his education and eventually do teach and do research in science … Made the Long Beach City Dean’s List … Enjoys fly fishing, backpacking and science.
