2018 (senior):  GNAC first team TE… Played in all 12 games… season-high four receptions against North Alabama on Sept. 22… had 13 catches on the season, including three touchdowns

2017 (junior):  Appeared in all 11 games as a 2017 junior, finished fifth on the team with 12 receptions for 94 yards and a TD … Had a career-high three grabs for 20 yards in a 34-23 loss at No. 8-ranked Central Washington … Scored a pair of TDs, an 18-yard reception vs. Simon Fraser and a recovered fumble at Humboldt State.

2016 (sophomore):  As a 2016 sophomore, appeared in 8 of the Cougars’ 12 games, starting three during their NCAA playoff season … Had a pair of receptions for 13 yards … Had a nine-yard grab vs. Central Washington and a four-yard catch vs. Western Oregon.

2015 (freshman): Practiced with the team while attending classes at Azusa Pacific.

2014 (redshirt): Recovered from injury while attending classes at Azusa Pacific.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year varsity letter-winner at a wide receiver and free safety for head coach Jeff Harbison at Sierra High in Manteca, Calif. … As a 2013 senior led the Timberwolves to 7-4 record and was named all-area and All-Valley Oak League first after registering team highs of 60 receptions for  a school-record 1,012 yards (16.9 avg.) and 12 TDs … Had at least four-or-more receptions in ten of the 11 games he played, including a career-high eight twice … Best showing though may have come in a 45-26 victory over Sonora in which he had six grabs for a school-record 219 yards and three touchdowns … Had two-or-more TD catches in four different games … Also collected 41 tackles (35 solo) and an interception, which he returned 67 yards … As a 2013 junior, had two receptions for 17 yards for the 10-2 Timberwolves who advanced to the second round of the CIF San Joaquin Section playoffs … Also lettered four years in wrestling and two in track & field.

PERSONAL: Parents are Don (insurance agent) and Kimberly Widmer ... Has two older brothers, including Grant who was a five-year (2011-15) halfback for the Cougars ... Father was a three-year starting linebacker at UCLA for head coach Tommy Prothro and is a member of the Manteca Hall of Fame ... His cousin Carly Halm competed for the Azusa Pacific women’s cross country team … Is majoring in physical therapy.
