THIS YEAR: An over-achieving lineman, senior Josh Zeno is a quality player who gets the job done in a number of ways … Is deceptively strong for his size … Plays well against the run but has good speed to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. 

2005: In his first year as a Cougar, came on as the season unfolded, making his first appearance in the third game, and then playing in the final 8, starting 3 … Was tenth on the team with 25 tackles (5 solo) … Best outing came in the NAIA playoff contest vs. Montana Tech when he tallied a season-high 6 tackles … Also had 4 tackles vs. Southern Oregon and Valley City State. 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons as a defensive end at Antelope Valley College … As a 2003 sophomore, played in 10 games and was seventh on the team with 37 tackles, which included a team-high 5.5 quarterback sacks. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football for head coach Jeff Steinberg at Burroughs High in Ridgecrest, Calif. … Was a 2-time All-Desert Sky honoree, including first-team recognition as a 2001 senior … Was a key figure on the 11-2 Burro team that won the 2001 league title … Also wrestled, and as a senior was the league champ in the 189-pound class. 

PERSONAL: Son of Henderson (mechanic) and Connie (housing inspector) Zeno … Has 2 sisters (Carla, Christine) … Would like to be a social worker or an automotive technician… Enjoys working on cars.
