THIS YEAR: Junior linebacker Jonathon Meza begins his first season at Azusa Pacific after spending two seasons at Pasadena City College … A 5-foot-11, 218-pound linebacker, is expected to push for significant time on the field, particularly at the ‘jack” position, a hybrid lineman-linebacker role.

PASADENA CITY COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons at Pasadena (Calif.) City College for Head Coach Robert Tucker … Appeared in 17 career games for the Lancers … Totaled 36 tackles, including 14 solo stops, 22 assists, 2.5 tackles for loss, a half sack and 1 interception … As a 2025 sophomore, appeared in 9 games and totaled 19 tackles, 10 solo, 9 assists, 1 tackle for loss and 1 interception … Recorded a season-high 5 tackles and an interception in a win over Orange Coast … Also had 4 tackles and 1 tackle in a loss to Saddleback … As a 2024 freshman, appeared in 8 games, collecting 17 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a half sack.
