THIS YEAR: Nose guard Jesse Stolebarger is 1 of 18 seniors to dot the Cougar roster … Figures in a reserve role at the outset of the season but does add experience. 2003: Made his first live appearances as a Cougar, coming off the bench in 2 games as a 2003 junior, collecting 4 tackles in the process … Had 3 takedowns in the Cougars' 42-0 victory over La Verne.

2002: Did not appear in any of the Cougars' 9 games during the 2001 season.

2000: Worked out with Azusa Pacific during the fall 2-a-days but quit the team before the first day of classes and instead attended Miramar Community College.

SAN DIEGO STATE: Walked on at San Diego State in 2001 but did not play in any games.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-time All-Costal Conference honoree at Horizon High in San Diego, earning first-team recognition as a junior and senior … Named All-CIF first team as a 1999 senior … Also earned academic all-county honors.
