THIS YEAR: Azusa Pacific’s top returning wide-out, senior Jeremy Lugbill is a key in the Cougars’ offensive success … Has good speed and is quite strong for his size. 

2005: After a season on defense, switched back to the offense … Appeared in 9 games as a 2005 junior, starting 8 … Was fourth on the team with 14 catches for 297 yards … Registered his first collegiate TD reception, a 71-yard catch-and-run vs. Eastern Oregon … Averaged a team-leading 21.2 yards a grab … Also an effective return specialist, returning 5 kickoffs 166 yards (33.2 avg.), including a 94-yarder to set up a TD at Humboldt State … Finished the season strong with career bests of 5 catches for 89 yards vs. Montana Tech in the NAIA playoffs. 

2004: Moved to defensive back and Appeared in 10 of the Cougars’ 14 games, all off the bench, and oftentimes on special teams … Recorded 8 tackles, all solo … Best game came in the victory at Trinity (Texas) where he had 3 tackles, all solo. 

2003: Appeared briefly off the bench in games late in the season, coming on during the second half of the campaign, but did not have a reception. 

2002: Redshirted his first season at Azusa Pacific, while attending classes. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football at Concord High in Elkhart, Ind. … As a 2001 senior earned all-state recognition as a defensive back … Was also all-area and All-Northern Lakes Conference as a wide receiver … Finished his senior campaign with 38 catches for 726 yards (19.1 avg.) and 7 TDs for the 9-3 Minutemen who advanced to the Indiana 4A sectional final (one of their 3 losses was to Warsaw High which featured current Cougar Adam Bott) … Recorded a career-high 65-yard TD reception in a 27-25 victory over East Noble … Led the team with 78 points and 13 TDs (7 receiving, 3 rushing, 3 returns -- kick, punt, fumble) … Averaged 5.3 yards a rush on 44 carries as well … Had a 65-yard TD run in a 17-14 victory over Plymouth High in the RCA Dome … Averaged 104.8 all-purpose yards … On defense, had a team-high 4 interceptions … Was also a place-kicker during his sophomore and junior campaigns … Earned 3 varsity letters in basketball (guard), scoring nearly 450 points in his career … Ran 2 seasons of track & field as well. 

PERSONAL: Son of Ed (businessman) and Beth Lugbill … Has a brother (Justin) and 2 sisters (Danielle, Alyssa) … Would like to be a teacher and coach following graduation.
