THIS YEAR: Junior Jared Andrade begins his first season at Azusa Pacific after attending Fresno State and playing at East Los Angeles College … A 5-foot-9, 220-pound tight end/fullback, is 1 of 6 East Los Angeles transfers to the Cougar program.

EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE: Played football at East Los Angeles College … Competed at running back for the Huskies … As a 2025 sophomore, rushed 17 times for 44 yards. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 seasons of varsity football for Head Coach Aldo Parral at Theodore Roosevelt High in Los Angeles … Competed at running back and linebacker for the Rough Riders and served as team captain as a junior and senior … In his final 2 seasons, rushed for 1,863 yards on just 143 carries (12.8 avg/carry) with 16 TDs … Tallied 9 100-yard rushing games over his final 15 games with the Rough Riders … Added 15 receptions for 422 yards and 4 touchdowns, finishing with 2,408 all-purpose yards … On defense, recorded 93 tackles (48 solo) with 4 sacks in his prep career … As a 2023 senior, rushed for a team-high 1,004 yards and 8 touchdowns, averaging 14.6 yards per carry while leading Roosevelt to a 9-2 record and the first round of the LA City playoffs … Rushed for 234 yards on 10 carries with a pair of TDs in a 40-7 Eastern League win over Bell High … Also rushed for 193 yards on just 9 carries with 2 TDs in a 62-38 win over Crenshaw High … Also had 11 receptions for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns as a senior … Also played 1 season of basketball at Roosevelt.
