THIS YEAR: The hard-working and energetic Jamil Frazier moves to the forefront of the Cougar secondary after filling a reserve role last year … Enters the fall campaign as a starter … Has good speed and is deceptively strong for his size. 

2002: Appeared in all 9 games, coming on toward the end of the season to start the final 2 contests … Had 16 tackles (10 solo), including a season-high 6 (3 solo) in the finales against Gustavus Adolphus … Preserved the victory in that game by successfully defending a fourth-down pass play into the end zone with less than a minute left in the contest … Against Pacific Lutheran had 4 tackles and broke up a pass in the end zone. 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons for state powerhouse Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. ... Was a member of 2 bowl teams that went 15-6, including a 9-2 mark during his 2000 freshman season ... Primarily played on special teams, returning 15 kickoffs in his 2-year career, averaging over 21 yards a return ... Was a reserve running back both seasons and as a 2001 sophomore he had 11 receptions for 95 yards as a third-down back ... Grayshirted the 1999 season at Mt. SAC. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity football at Temple City (Calif.) High ... Earned All-CIF, All-San Gabriel Valley first team as a 1998 senior ... Named Rio Hondo Player of the Year after leading the conference in rushing and scoring ... Earned all-league honors as a 1997 junior after rushing for 876 yards in just 5 games, missing the others with an ankle injury ... Also lettered 3 years on the Ram track & field team, clocking a career-best 50.9 in the 400m ... Also played 4 years of basketball (guard) and 1 season of baseball (outfield).
