Biography

THIS YEAR:  Senior Jake Hall is set to take his place as one of the top-scoring place-kickers in Cougar football history … Has a strong led that has become steadily accurate over the course of his career … Has the ability to make kicks from 50 yards … For the second consecutive year will also serve as the Cougars’ primary punter … Has made a school-record 108 point-after-attempts in just three seasons.

2017 (junior):  Converted at least one field goal in six games, registering a career-long of 38 yards in a 48-17 victory over Western Oregon … On the season, converted seven-of-eight field goals … Went through an early-season two-game slump in which he missed his only field goal of the season and three-of-five field goal attempts … Settled in afterwards, making his final six field goals, and 51 of his final 52 PATs, at one point converting 42 consecutive PATs … His ten-for-ten PATs in the Cougars’ 83-7 victory over Simon Fraser broke the school record of eight makes and nine attempts, held by many … Again, handled the Cougar punting duties and averaged 40.1 yards a punt over 37 kicks, none of which went for touchback but 10 that stopped inside the 20-yard line.

2016 (sophomore):  As a 2016 sophomore backed up All-GNAC kicker Jamie Cacciatore, but was pressed into service again over the season’s final four games due to an injury to Cacciatore … Made two-of-six field attempts, and was 14-for-17 on point-after attempts … Had a long of 33 yards … Was the Cougars’ full-time punter, averaging 40.4 yards on 48 punts, with 14 that stopped inside the 20 (and only 4 touchbacks).

2015 (freshman): Was expecting to redshirt his 2015 freshman campaign and take over for the graduated Jaime Cacciatore in 2016 … However, was pressed into every-game duties when Cacciatore went down with a season-ending injury during August camps … Hall made six-of-12 field goals on the year with a season long of 35 yards ... Made 38-of-43 point-after-attempts … Averaged 58.7 yards on 50 kickoff attempts with nine touchbacks 

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-sport athlete at Greenville (Ill.) High, playing of head coach Todd Hutchinson in football for four varsity years as a kicker and punter  ... The Comets went 44-5 in Hall’s four years in the program … Played three years of varsity basketball as a forward for head coach Todd Cantrill and three years of baseball as a centerfielder also under Hutchinson.

PERSONAL: Born on April 15, 1997 in Glendora, Calif., to Norman and Alison Hall ... Has one brother (Jonathon) and one sister (Naomi) ... His father, Norman, is the president of Simpson University in Redding, Calif., and was a former staff member in Azusa Pacific’s student life offices in the mid-1990s … Grandfather, Keith Hall, played basketball at McKendree University ... Cousin, David Dunlop, played soccer at Greenville College … Majoring in engineering.
