THIS YEAR: A speedy returnee, Frankie Tapia leads a strong corps of Cougar receivers that include Travis, Allen, Canales and Herrera … Has great speed and excellent quickness off the line.

2001: Appeared in 9 games as a junior, starting 6 … Was third on the team in receptions (30) but tops in receiving yards (435)…Longest catch was a 50-yard TD strike in a 23-10 victory over Menlo … Scored his first TD as a Cougar on a 27-yard strike, which was the catalyst score in the Cougars’ 31-27 come-from-behind victory over Pacific Lutheran … Registered a season-high 116 receiving yards with 9 catches at Humboldt State.
