THIS YEAR: Freshman offensive lineman Ethan Lorenz begins his first season at Azusa Pacific after a 4-year varsity career at Bonita High School in La Verne, Calif., and Ontario Christian High School in Ontario, Calif. … A 5-foot-10, 265-pound lineman, Lorenz is expected to add depth to the Cougar offensive line with experience at right guard and center.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 seasons of varsity football at Bonita High School and Ontario Christian High School … Played for Head Coaches Bo Beatty, Andrew Lachelt and Lonyae Miller … Competed on the offensive line at right guard and center … Served as team captain as a 2023 sophomore and 2025 senior … Earned All-League Honorable Mention as a freshman at Bonita after helping the Bearcats go 6-4 and win the Smudge Pot over rival San Dimas … Named All-Palomares League first team as a sophomore while serving as team captain and helping Bonita go 9-3, finish second in the Mountain West League and reach the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs … Helped Ontario Christian go 6-5 as a junior, finishing second in the Ironwood League, reach the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 6 playoffs and win the Battle for the Shield over rival Valley Christian … As a senior, earned 1st Team All-Ironwood first team honors, Team MVP recognition and served as team captain … Also competed in wrestling as a heavyweight at Bonita during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, helping the Bearcats win a Palomares League title and qualify for the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
