Kyle Kianpour is entering his third-year coaching at Azusa Pacific University, where he will serve as the Assistant Quarterback’s Coach and Director of Football Operations. This is his seventh-year coaching, as he began his career at the high school level.
Kianpour spent two years coaching at Chino Hills High School and two years at South Hills High School. In 2015, after finishing his first-season coaching, he was promoted to coach the varsity quarterbacks.
In 2016, Kianpour coached the varsity quarterbacks at South Hills High School, and in 2017 was the varsity receivers’ coach.
In 2018, Kianpour joined Azusa Pacific University as a defensive assistant and director of football operations, working primarily with the defensive line, where he helped coach the GNAC Defensive Linemen of the Year, Ma’ake Muti. In 2019, he was promoted as the assistant defensive line coach, specifically working with the nose guards and defensive tackles.
After graduating high school in 2013, he attended Castleton State College (Vt.) where he played one season for the Spartans and appeared in eight games.
Kianpour received his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Azusa Pacific University in 2017 and will graduate in the Summer of 2020 with his Master’s Degree in Psychology.
Kianpour grew up in Glendora, California, where he attended Glendora High School and was the varsity starting quarterback in 2011 and 2012.
