High School: Played three years of varsity football at Brethren Christian High School under head coach Pat McInally... Played quarterback, wide receiver, punt returner, and kick returner... Captained the team as a senior... As a sophomore, tallied seven receptions for 71 yards... As a junior, led the Warriors with 42 receptions for 766 yards along with eight receiving touchdowns... Defensively, registered four interceptions and nine pass deflections... In final year at Brethren Christian, notched 57 receptions for 987 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games... On defense, had 66 total tackles and recovered two fumbles, while deflecting nine passes
