THIS YEAR: Senior defensive end/linebacker Anthony Diggs teams with All-American Nick Tavaglione to give Azusa Pacific an outstanding pass rush … Very strong and quick … Quite aggressive … Hard to block. 

2002: Enjoyed an outstanding 2002 junior campaign in which he was third on the team in tackles (47) and second in tackles for loss (12) and quarterback sacks (6) … As a result, received NAIA All-America honorable mention … Had several quality games but none was more impacting than his effort against NAIA No. 5-ranked Southern Oregon in which he had 7 tackles (5 solo), which included 3 for loss to go along with a pair of pass deflections … Also returned a fumble 76 yards late in the third quarter to tie the game at 14-14 … Had a season-high 10 tackles, including 2 for loss, and a trio of pass deflections in the win at Cal Lutheran … Transferred to Azusa Pacific in the summer after spending the Spring at Wayne State (Mich.). 

ANTELOPE VALLEY: Played 2 seasons for well-known AVC coach Brent Carder … As a 2001 sophomore was probably the Marauders' top defensive player, tallying 88 tackles that included a team-high 16 sacks in just 11 games … Also had 2 interceptions, a block, 5 forced fumbles and 4 recoveries for the 7-4 Marauders … Best effort came against San Bernardino Valley in which he had 17 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 recovered fumble and 1 block … Named All-Foothill Conference first team and JC Gridwire All-American … As a 2000 freshman, started 7 games, including the final 6 … Tallied 5.5 sacks, including 4 vs. San Diego Mesa. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 seasons of varsity football for Jeff Williams as Palmdale (Calif.) High … Was a 2-time All-CIF and All-Golden League pick, including first team honors as a 1999 senior when he was named league defensive MVP. 

PERSONAL: Born May 15, 1982, in Pacoima, Calif., to Tonya Gray … Has 1 sister (Antasia) … Majoring in liberal studies and wants to teach elementary school … Cousin Na'il Diggs is a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers.
