THIS YEAR: An impressive player, Andrew Leasau is set to take to the field after redshirting last year ... At the outset, figures in a reserve role but should see time in the Cougars' 4-man front.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons for head coach Reggie Bolton at Santa Barbara (Calif.) City College ... Was a linebacker for the Vaqueros, who posted a combined record of 7-13 during Leasau's time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of football (linebacker) and volleyball (setter) at Bonita Vista High in San Diego from where he graduated in 2005.
