2015 (sophomore): Saw significant time in four games...finished the season 33-of-64 with six touchdowns against just four interceptions through the air...also did significant damage on the ground, amassing 440 yards and six touchdowns to be the second leading rusher for the Cougars...ran and threw for over 100 yards against Simon Fraser...posted a five total touchdown game against South Dakota Mines...averaged 7.0 yards per carry 

2014 (freshman): Played in 11 games as a run-first quarterback... Took 10 carries for 82 yards and three touchdowns, while attempting just one pass... Ran for a 16-yard touchdown in the Cougars' double-overtime win over No. 2 Grand Valley State... Against Humboldt State, scrambled for a 56-yard touchdown... Against Dixie State, took three carries for 12 yards and a touchdown.

2013 (redshirt): Practiced with the team in his first season at Azusa Pacific

High School: Played three varsity sports at Maranatha High School... Played four years of basketball and ran track & field for three years... Played football for three years under head coaches Joel Murphy and Peter Karavedas as a quarterback... Captained the team all three years... As a sophomore, was named the team's starting quarterback... Didn't miss a snap in his first two seasons... Completed 189 passes on 292 attempts for 3328 yards and 37 touchdowns as a sophomore... Threw 10 interceptions as he led the team to a record of 8-4 and a second place finish in the Olympic League... Completed 17 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown in his first high school game... Against Valley Christian, completed 34 passes for 587 yards and six touchdowns and ran for 69 yards... Threw for six touchdowns again against La Puente, completing 22 passes for 402 yards... Ran for 269 yards and five touchdowns on the season... As a junior, completed 129 passes on 201 attempts for 2029 yards and 22 touchdowns... Threw for a touchdown in all of his first ten games... Against Azusa, had 12 completions for 366 yards and five touchdowns... Ran for 171 yards and eight touchdowns... Led the team to an 8-3 record, including 6-2 in the Olympic League for an appearance in the CIF Playoffs... Started in the first four games as a senior... Only attempted six passes against La Salle before missing the rest of the season... Finished the season with 47 completions for 677 yards and three touchdowns in the four games.

Personal: Born on Sept. 23, 1994 to Doug and Cheryl Elffers in Pasadena, Calif. ... Has two brothers named Marko and Nate along with a sister named Luaryn... Majoring applied exercise science and wants to become a physical therapist.
