Biography

2015 (junior): Started all 10 games along the offensive line for the Cougars...part of the unit that averaged 216 yards per game and 5.2 yards per attempt 

2014 (sophomore): Played in all 11 games and started in each of the first 10 on the offensive line... Led the way in the Cougars' run game that went for 269.3 yards per game and 40 rushing touchdowns... Was a second team All-GNAC offensive selection.

2013 (freshman): Started in every game after coming in as a reserve in the season-opener... Started the second game at right guard before being moved to left guard for three of the next four games... Started the at right guard for the remainder of the season

High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Canyon High School... Wrestled for four years as a heavy-weight... Threw shot put and discus for three years in track & field... Played offensive line on the football team for three years under head coach Brent McKee... The Comanches compiled a record of 8-23 during his three varsity seasons... In his senior year, was named Anaheim Male Athlete of the Year for his success across all three sports.

Personal: Born on Apr. 7, 1996 in Orange, Calif. ... Mother's name is Suha Shmele... Has one brother named Zayd Sunda... Majoring in biochemistry with a minor in German... Wants to play in the National Football League or work as a biochemical engineer after his time at Azusa Pacific... Enjoys long walks on the beach on overcast days.
