THIS YEAR: Junior Aaron Mitchell comes to Azusa Pacific with strong credentials and high expectations after spending the past 2 seasons at Golden West College … Teams with Demarion Wright and CJ Zackery to give the Cougars an excellent ground game.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played 2 seasons for Head Coach Nick Mitchell (no relation) at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif.  ... Appeared in 24 games over his junior college career, rushing for 879 yards on 159 carries (5.5 avg.) with 10 TDs … As a 2025 sophomore, played in all 13 games for the 12-1 Rustlers, tallying 623 rushing yards on 107 rushes (5.8 avg.) with 10 TDs … Best showing came in a 33-22 victory over Fullerton in which he tallied a career-high 118 yards on 24 carries … Scored 3 TDs on just 8 carries in heartbreaking 28-27 defeat to San Mateo in the state 3C2A championship game … As a 2024 freshman rushed 52 times for 256 yards and 1 touchdown ...
