THIS YEAR: Senior Aaron Leverenz is one of several burly and strong blockers across the Cougars' offensive front … Penciled to start at guard but can be just as effective at tackle as well … Teams with Rene Arguelles to give Azusa Pacific what could be one of the largest set of guards in the NAIA, averaging 6-2, 302 pounds. 

2002: Recovered from a knee injury suffered during 3-a-days to appear in the final 6 games of the season, all off the bench … Combined with David Ah-Sue to give Azusa Pacific tremendous depth along what was already a talented offensive line. 

2001: In his first season of competitive football in 3 seasons, started all 9 games for the Cougars despite battling a shoulder injury all season. 

HAWAII: Out of high school, signed with the University of Hawaii where he grayshirted the 1997 season and then played his 1998 freshman campaign … Appeared in 8 games, starting 2 until he got injured … Transferred to University of New Mexico for the 2000 season but did not play because of an injury. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Redford High in Honolulu where he played for coach Kelly Sur … Was all-state honorable mention and All-OIA first team as a 1997 senior … Also lettered 3 seasons in varsity basketball and earned All-OIA honorable mention recognition … Competed in track & field as well … Was also recruited by Arizona, Oregon and Oregon State out of high school. 

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 19, 1979, in Honolulu to Valerie and Roman Leverenz … Has 2 brothers.
