2023: Named a Third Team All-PacWest Peformer and earned Academic All-PacWest distinction… Saw action in 34 games with 26 starts for the Cougars this season… Hit .297 (27-for-91) with 12 RBI, four doubles and two home runs… Defensively, had 209 putouts with 14 assists behind the dish... Went 3-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored in a victory at Hawai’i Pacific.
2022: Appeared in 40 games with 17 starts for the Cougars this season… Went 19-for-70 (.271 AVG%) at the plate with 13 RBI and 13 runs scored… Recorded two home runs with 10 walks… Was 4-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and one run scored in a victory over Fresno Pacific (4/8).
2021 (Sophomore): Appeared in 10 games, starting three...batted .417 in 12 at-bats with a home run and five RBI...had a double, home run, and four RBI against Westmont (February 27).
Mt. San Antonio College (2019-20): Played two seasons under head coach John Knott... In his first season, appeared in 40 games hitting for a .274 average with 21 RBI and one home run... In the shortened 2020 season (COVID-19), Santa Anna appeared in 18 games and was off to a hot start, hitting .310 with 10 RBI and three doubles.
High School: Graduated from Arcadia High School in Arcadia, Calif. in 2018... Played three varsity baseball seasons under head coach Nick Lemas... Was a team captain in his senior season... In his junior season, Santa Anna was named the Pacific League Player of the Year, and was a First Team All-League and All-Area member... As a senior, Santa Anna once again was named First Team All-League.
Personal: Born July 12, 2000 in Arcadia, Calif... Son of Claudia and Armando... Has one younger sister, Julianni... His dad played collegiate baseball at Upper Iowa University and his cousin (Jeremy Ortiz) attended Azusa Pacific... Studying Liberal Studies... Hopes to become a Special Education Teacher... Enjoys listening to music, hanging out with his girlfriend, and watching movies.
