Piero Figueroa joins the Cougars as a freshman catcher from Grand Prairie, Texas. A standout leader at The Oakridge School, Figueroa was a primary defensive anchor behind the plate, known for his high baseball IQ and leadership on the field.

During his high school career, Figueroa consistently produced both offensively and defensively:

• Senior Season Stats: Posted an impressive .412 batting average with a .615 on-base percentage. He recorded 28 hits, including 16 doubles and a home run, while driving in 27 runs over 31 games.

• Defensive Prowess: Noted for his elite catching abilities, Figueroa maintained a .951 fielding percentage. His scouting reports highlight his strength in pitch calling, receiving, and blocking.

• Commitment to Excellence: A dedicated athlete who spent four years training with former Major League players to refine his skills as a catcher.

• Club Experience: Competed for Furia Baseball, further developing his competitive edge in the Texas travel ball circuit.

Notable Performances Figueroa was a force at the plate during the 2024-2025 season, maintaining a 1.306 OPS and showing remarkable discipline with 16 walks and 20 hit-by-pitches.
