HIGH SCHOOL:Â Lettered in baseball at Bonita High School in La Verne Calif., pitching for head coach John Knott... Helped the Bearcats to a CIF championship game and registered a 0.55 ERA... In his first start of the season he tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits... Won the coaches award as his team finished 23-5, 10-2 in Miramonte League play.
