THIS YEAR:  An all-purpose player, junior Josh Chavez is in his fourth year in the program ... Figures in a reserve role ... Is likely see his time in the outfield but can play on the infield ... Has displayed a knack for pinch-hitting as well.

2024:  Appeared in 4 games as a redshirt sophomore, all off the bench as a pinch-hitter ... Did not have a hit ... Named Academic PacWest for the second straight year.
 
2023: Named Academic All-PacWest… Saw action in 3 games, collecting his first collegiate hit which was a 1-out pinch-hit home run in the Cougars' 12-8 PacWest victory over Concordia.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Chino Hills High School in Chino, Calif. ... Played 4 varsity seasons under head coach Joseph Verplanke and was a captain in both his junior and senior seasons ...
