Played varsity basketball for one year as well... In his junior season was named to the first team all league team as well as second team all area team... Helped his team win the South Bay league while batting .330 with 27 RBI and had an overall record of 4-1 on the mound... In his senior year was named the South Bay Area MVP and was named to the second team all CIF team... Posted a .313 batting average with 19 RBI in his senior season and had an overall record of 6-2 with a 1.06 ERA on the mound.
