THIS YEAR: Redshirt senior Jacey Loewen enters her second season at Azusa Pacific after redshirting last year … A graduate student with proven collegiate experience from Providence Christian College … Is expected to be a key player who adds depth and program experience to the Cougar attack.

PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN: Spent 3 years at Providence Christian College, an NAIA program out of Pasadena, Calif., where she was a 2-time All-California Pacific Athletic Conference selection, including first-team recognition during her 2024 junior campaign, when in in 30 matches she allied 285 kills (2.88/set) … Held a hitting percentage of .307 … Has a career-high 22 kills in 41 attempts (.439 pct) in a 4-set victory over conference rival Simpson … Recorded 15 kills or more in 5 different contests … For her 3-year career, had 578 kills in 77 matches with a .288 attack percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Paso Robles (Calif.) High from where she graduated in 2022 … Served as co-captain of the volleyball team … Coached by Caleb Ferguson … Named the school’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Also lettered in basketball and beach volleyball at PRHS … Played volleyball for Flight Academy under coach Matt Weber.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 30, 2004 in Templeton, Calif. … Twin sister, Jenelle, plays on the APU volleyball team … Older sister, Jayden, played basketball at Cuesto College in San Luis Obispo, Calif. … Working towards her MBA after graduating from APU in the spring of 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Business … Played volleyball in Italy, Portugal, and Croatia … Enjoys playing cards, cooking, shopping, and coaching.
