Biography

2026 (Junior): Rios joins the Cougars as a physical left-handed outfielder with a proven ability to drive the ball and reach base. A transfer from Cerritos College, he brings a veteran presence to the Azusa Pacific lineup after anchoring the heart of the Falcons' order.

Prior to APU (Cerritos College)

  • 2025 (Sophomore): Put together a standout season for the Falcons, appearing in 41 games and batting .321. He displayed significant gap-to-gap power, recording eight doubles, four triples, and three home runs for a .545 slugging percentage. Rios was a high-impact run producer, tallying 19 RBIs and 32 runs scored while posting a .402 on-base percentage.

  • 2024 (Freshman): Played in 47 games, batting .294 with 52 hits and 24 RBIs. He was a disciplined presence at the plate, drawing 21 walks and contributing seven doubles and two triples to the Falcons' offensive efforts.

  • Defensive Prowess: Noted for his reliability in the outfield, Rios recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage during his freshman campaign (91 putouts, 3 assists).

High School Spent four seasons at prep powerhouse St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif.
