  • Title
    Data Analyst and Hitting Coach

A Glendora native, Will Medina joined the Azusa Pacific baseball staff as a Hitting Coach and Data Analyst following a distinguished career as a student-athlete for the Cougars. A graduate of South Hills High School, Medina was a standout in one of Southern California’s most competitive prep programs, helping lead the Huskies to multiple league titles and establishing a reputation for both academic and athletic excellence.

Medina played for the Cougars from 2022 to 2025, primarily as an outfielder. Known for his high baseball IQ and leadership, he was voted team captain by his coaches and teammates. On the field, he was a key contributor to the program's success, notably during the 2023 season when he hit safely in 15 of the final 16 games to help Azusa Pacific sweep the inaugural PacWest Tournament Championship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Azusa Pacific in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Business Analytics, earning multiple Academic All-PacWest honors.

In his current role, Medina bridges the gap between on-field performance and modern technology, utilizing his background in analytics to optimize the Cougars' offensive production. While serving on the coaching staff, he is also pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Cal Poly Pomona and continues to manage his own business, which he has successfully operated for the past five years.
