Eddie Aguayo joined the Azusa Pacific coaching staff in 2018 for his first full season after working with the program in an advanced scouting role in 2017.
Aguayo played two seasons of baseball at Diablo Valley College, where he was a first-team all-conference selection in 2012, and he wrapped up his collegiate career as a two-year starting second baseman at NCAA Division III Chapman University.
He graduated from Chapman in 2014 with a degree in economics, and he is pursuing a master’s in leadership development at Azusa Pacific.
A native of Napa, Calif., Aguayo was a two-sport star at Justin-Siena High School, playing baseball and football. He started at quarterback while leading the program to the CIF North Coast Section championship game in consecutive seasons, and he returned to Justin-Siena to help the football program in a summer coaching role in 2012.
