2025 (Redshirt Junior): Hernandez-Vides joined the Cougars' pitching staff as a left-handed specialist, making six relief appearances during his debut season. He logged 6.1 innings of work and struck out eight batters, maintaining a high strikeout-per-nine ratio. He showed flashes of dominance, notably recording multiple-strikeout outings in high-leverage conference situations.

Prior to APU (Cal State San Bernardino) A transfer from Cal State San Bernardino, Hernandez-Vides arrived in Azusa with two years of NCAA Division II experience under his belt.

• 2023 (Sophomore): Made 13 appearances for the Coyotes, including one start. He compiled a 1-0 record, striking out 14 batters over 14.1 innings.

• 2022 (Freshman): Established himself as a reliable late-inning option, making 14 appearances and earning two saves. He struck out 24 batters in just 20.1 innings and held opposing hitters to a stingy .195 batting average.

• High School: Graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in 2021, where he was a standout left-hander in the Big VIII League.

Personal Born on January 7, 2003, Chris is the son of Blanca and Jesus Hernandez. A fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Boston Celtics, he is pursuing a degree in Business Management with a career aspiration to become a radiology technician.

Fun Fact: His favorite pro athletes include left-handed specialist Josh Hader and power-arm Bobby Miller.
