2026 (Senior): Spencer returns for his final season with the Cougars, providing veteran leadership and a proven ability to eat innings. A versatile arm with a deep pitch kit, he began the 2026 campaign as a primary starter, recording 17 strikeouts through his first 13.0 innings of work. His ability to miss bats was on full display in early February, where he maintained a high strikeout-to-walk ratio while anchoring the rotation.

2025 (Junior): In his debut season at Azusa Pacific, Spencer was a cornerstone of the pitching staff, appearing in 12 games and making eight starts.

• Statistical Performance: Logged 48.0 innings—second most on the team—and finished with two wins and 36 strikeouts.

• Notable Outing: Threw a masterful complete-game shutout on March 7 against Hilo, allowing zero runs while striking out give in a dominant conference performance.

Prior to APU (San Jose State University) Spent three seasons with the Spartans, gaining valuable Division I experience in the Mountain West Conference.

• 2024 (Redshirt Sophomore): Made 10 relief appearances, notably striking out three batters in a scoreless outing against Saint Mary's (April 30).

• 2022 (Freshman): Appeared in 13 games with three starts as a true freshman. Logged 22.1 innings and struck out 16, including a season-high four strikeouts in four innings against UC Davis.

High School A highly decorated local product from Arcadia High School under coaches Nick Lemas and Jerry Peña.

• Senior Dominance (2021): Named All-CIF Southern Section Division I and the Pacific League Pitcher of the Year. He posted a perfect 9-0 record with a 1.60 ERA, surrendering only nine earned runs across 40 innings.

• Prep Accolades: Named Arcadia Sportsman of the Year and was a SGV First Team selection. He helped lead the Apaches to a Pacific League Championship, clinching the title with a complete-game victory.

• Club: Competed for California Armada and was a recognized prospect by Perfect Game, showcasing an 88 mph fastball and elite spin rates.
