2018 (sophomore): Appeared four times all coming in relief… pitched a total of two innings, gave up three earned runs and had two strikeouts and two walks… Ward’s longest outing of the year came in a 14-3 loss to Dixie State (March 2), where he threw one scoreless inning and struck out one in the process

2017 (freshman): Appeared in one game on the mound in relief against California Baptist (April 14), holding the Lancers in one inning of work to no runs and struck out one 

High School: Was a two-sport athlete at Saddleback Valley Christian in San Juan Capistrano... Was a free safety and wide receiver on the football team... Played four years of varsity baseball as a center fielder and pitcher under head coach Richard Mercado... Was a three-time all-league honoree in baseball... Was the team's Co-MVP as a sophomore and earned the team MVP award as a junior and senior... Also earned first team all-CIF and San Joaquin League MVP as a senior.

Personal: Born on Sept. 17, 1996 to Laguna Beach, Calif. to Brent and Cheri Ward... Is the oldest of three children... Siblings are Nathan and Charis... Uncle, Steve Ward, and father, Brent Ward, both played football at Azusa Pacific... Cousin, Jason Ward, also attended Azusa Pacific... Uncle, Burch Ward, played baseball at Vanguard... Enjoys wake boarding and going to the beach.
