Biography

THIS YEAR:  Freshman Brody Sprinkle is set to take the field this year after redshirting last year, his first season at Azusa Pacific ... Is likely to fill a back-up role at first base but can play third base as well ... Rated a good athlete who has the potential to develop into a fine college player with quality leadership skills.

2024:  Did not play as a true-freshman, but did practice with the Cougars while attending classes at Azusa Pacific.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Was a 3-sport standout at Chaparral High in Parker, Colo., excelling in football, basketball and baseball for the Wolverines ... In baseball, played 3 years on the varsity level for Head Coach Allan DiGosio, serving as team captain the final 2 campaigns ... Was hampered much of his prep career by a torn Labrum, but got off to a great start as a 2021 sophomore, batting .346 in 13 games of a COVID-shortened season ... As a 2022 junior had 3 home runs 5 doubles and 13 RBIs in 29 games ... As a 2023 senior, appeared in 27 games for the Wolverines, who finished with a 20-7 record and fifth in the state tournament ... Batted just .177 while recovering from the Labrum injury but still had 13 RBIs and a home run during the campaign ... In all, played in 69 games during his prep baseball career ... In football, was the Wolverines' starting quarterback as a sophomore, completing 44-of-109 passes for 341 yards at 5 TDs while rushing for 53 yards and scoring another TD ... The Labrum injury cut short his junior and senior seasons ... In basketball, averaged 3.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 24 games as a senior ... Excelled as well in the classroom, earning all-state academic first team recognition as a junior and senior ... Played 3 seasons of travel ball for Head Coach Jason Bates and the Colorado Yard Dawgs.

PERSONAL:  Born Nov. 10, 2004 ... Parents are Steve and Carey Sprinkle ... Has 3 sisters (Morgan, Kennedy, Emerson) ... Had date played baseball at San Diego State and his mom played soccer at Chapman ... Majoring in Business Management.
