2016: Started all 50 games for the Cougars...second Team All-PacWest...earned all-region honors ... named the Golden Glove winner at third base for the region …21 multi-hit games…twice registered four hits in a game, once against Dixie State and once against Hawaii Pacific, both on the road…hit three homeruns in the season’s final series against California Baptist as the Cougars battled for a conference title…led the team with a .365 average, 49 RBI, 22 home runs, 32 walks, and .477 OBP…led the conference in home runs and slugging percentage…appeared in the conference top-10 in almost all offensive categories…named PacWest Player of the Week for the week of March 14

2015: Started in all 53 games in which he appeared...recorded a .290 batting average on 53 hits...third on team with 41 RBIs...also contributed 28 runs...tallied eight doubles as well as eight HR, third best on the team...walked 21 times...recorded 12 multi-hit games

HIGH SCHOOL: A standout first baseman for head coach Bob McCurdy ... Was named first-team all-league as a junior and senior ... Team made CIF Championship apperances in his final two years ... In his junior year hit .512 in helping the team to the Mesa League title ... As the team captain his senior year he posted a .527 batting average

PERSONAL: The son of Humberto and Belinda Tovalin ... Has three siblings - Humberto, Alexandro, Osvaldo ... Father played professionally in Mexico ... Humberto played for three years at Cal Poly Pomona ... Aspires to be a General Manager for a professional baseball team ... Enjoys watching movies, listening to music, eating and sleeping
