THIS YEAR: Freshman walk-on McKenna Keefe has promise to develop into a key vaulter for Azusa Pacific over the course of her career … Has the potential to score at this year’s PacWest meet … Has a good foundation and understanding of the sport … Will use this year as a developmental campaign in which she gets stronger and faster.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered 4 years in track & field and cross country for head coach John Tarr at Grand Haven (Mich.) High … Was a 4-time Michigan state championship meet qualifier, first in the 400 as a 2015 freshman and 2016 sophomore, then in the 4x100 as a 2017 junior, and finally in the pole vault as a 2018 senior (10’ 3”/13th) … Posted a career-best vault of 10’ 6” to in the Michigan Lower Peninsula Region pole vault title as a senior … As a 2016 sophomore posted personal records of 27.14 (200) and 58.88 (400) … In cross country, had a 5K best of 21:18.8.
