THIS YEAR: One of 6 returnees from last year's NAIA Final Four team, senior Matt Moore figures to fill a more vital role off the bench this year in the low post … Is known for his physical presence in the paint … Has an above average jumper. 

2002: As a 2002 junior in his first year at Azusa Pacific, appeared in 24 games, all in a reserve role except 1 game … Averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in just over 7 minutes of time … Best showing came in his only start of the season, registering season-highs of 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 24 minutes of a 109-40 victory over Life Bible … Also had 10 points and 6 rebounds in a GSAC-opening 103-67 victory over Hope International … Appeared in all 4 NAIA Tournament games in Kansas City, Mo., tallying 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals in 26 minutes of action. 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played his 2000 sophomore season at Glendale (Calif.) College … Briefly attended GSAC rival The Master's College after junior college. LMU: Out of high school signed with NCAA Division I member Loyola Marymount, where as a 1999 freshman he played in 8 games. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Put together a celebrated prep career in 3 varsity seasons at La Canada (Calif.) High, playing for coach Tom Hoffman … Was a 2-time all-state, All-CIF and league MVP pick … As 1998 senior, averaged 29.5 points, thanks in part to a Rio Hondo League record 51 points in a single game … Broke 4 other school records, including the Spartans' career scoring mark … Led LCHS to a 3-year combined record of 66-11, including a 27-3 league mark. 

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 4, 1979, in Glendale, Calif., to Larry (sales manager) and Svetlana (mortgage broker) Moore … Has 1 brother (Mark) … Majoring in communication … Works with the youth group at his church … Plays the guitar.
